When god is away on business

It’s winter time, early in the morning. I meet a group of Roma men in north London. I begin to bring my camera and they take me to the secret place they call home. I see them before dawn waiting on the road for day jobs, witness phone calls with their children back in Romania and listen to their stories. This short documentary is a modern depiction of a history of social injustice, racism and not belonging.
